A Palestinian family in Gaza mourned the death of a father and his three children on Thursday, as Nasser Hospital officials said they'd received the bodies of 17 people killed in overnight Israeli strikes.
Women wept and wailed over relatives wrapped in white burial bags.
Among them was Abeer Abu Mustafa, who lost her three children, aged one, 11 and 12, and her husband in an Israeli strike on Wednesday that hit their tent. She squatted beside their bodies as they were prepared for burial.
”My children are gone, what can I say? My children and my husband, the dearest things I had, the dearest things I had are gone,” Abu Mustafa said.
”They died in front of my eyes, what was their sin that they died in front of my eyes?”
Scores of people gathered outside the Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis for funeral prayers.
