A hunter accidentally shot and killed himself during a weekend trip in Texas.
According to game wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the incident occurred in the northeast part of the state shortly after midnight on Nov. 15.
The man was later identified in a GoFundMe as 45-year-old Jose Ramirez of Grapevine. He is the father of three children.
“Our family is heartbroken. My dad meant the world to me,” the fundraiser said. “He taught me the most important lessons in life — to never give up, to work hard for what you want, and to always do what makes you happy, no matter how small it may seem. He believed that true success comes from loving what you do and living with a happy heart.”
He was the pillar of our home, the provider for our family, and the one who always mad
