MUNISING, MI -- The sharp, clear blues of Lake Superior are awe-inspiring no matter the season. When sunlight is gleaming across them in the summer or when wind is whipping them up in the winter, it all feels almost too good to be true. Michiganders are lucky enough to have three national parks along the lakeshore, allowing us to hike above, kayak in and boat across the “big lake.”

Preserving that visitor experience is the mission behind the National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation.

On Thursday, Nov. 20, the nonprofit is making a major fundraising push to go up against ‘critical’ headwinds the National Park Service faces.

The nonprofit is entering a grant lottery in which each private donation gives them a raffle entry for a Golden Ticket that could be worth up to $10,000.
