LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The National Transportation Safety Board has released its preliminary report on the fatal UPS plane crash, sharing there was "evidence of fatigue cracks" and "areas of overstress failure" on the part that attaches the engine to the plane.

The NTSB shared the report Thursday, which included new frame by frame photos of the plane, showing the engine and left pylon separate from the left wing.

Three crew members were aboard the plane when it crashed. The crew members along with 11 people on the ground died as a result of the crash and its aftermath. Twenty-three others on the ground were injured.
