Invictus Brewing Co. is permanently closing in Blaine next month instead of relocating, which comes amid the sale of its current building.
The brewery now says "a relocation is not feasible" due to a number of factors, but mainly because "the cost of any real estate, ingredients and supplies is significantly higher than it was when we built our building in 2018," according to a Wednesday post on Facebook.
Last call at Invictus is on Dec. 21, more than seven years after its launch.
"It goes without saying that this is a decision we did not take lightly as we love the community here," the brewery says in its Facebook post. "We started this business with the goal of creating community around beer and we hope you feel we did our part to accomplish that goal."
