WESTON, Mass. —
An investigation is underway after a golfer said he was shot with a pellet gun on a course in Weston, Massachusetts.
The incident happened at about 10:45 a.m. Thursday on the second hole at the Leo J. Martin Golf Course on Park Road.
The pellet struck the man's side, but did not penetrate his jacket, Weston police said.
"I was watching those guys tee off and then I suddenly hear a 'pop' right here. And then I looked down and there's a little metal pellet. I said, ‘I got hit,'" said golfer Gary Louie. 77.
"We were on the second hole and we heard a pop noise, and, when the pop noise happened, the gentleman next to me, Gary, it hit his coat right here, and we saw the pellet drop to the ground and we picked it up," said fellow golfer Tony Ferrara. "If it was a little highe
