BATTLE CREEK — Rachel Wirth knew entering high school that much work would be required if she and the rest of her classmates wanted to help the Fowler volleyball program achieve something special.
And the senior libero and classmates were willing to put in that work over the last few years.
The product of that work has resulted in district championships and CMAC titles in past years.
And they've taken that a step further this fall after being stopped in the regional round in both 2023 and 2024.
No. 2-ranked Fowler took one more step toward its ultimate goal Thursday, Nov. 20 by prevailing in five sets over No. 5-ranked Crystal Falls Forest Park in a Division 4 state semifinal at Kellogg Arena.
