After a record-breaking sale of the Lakers at a $10 billion valuation , it appears new majority owner Mark Walter is moving further away from the Buss family.
Brothers Joey and Jesse Buss told ESPN on Thursday that they’ve been fired from the Lakers after 20 years in the organization formerly owned by their dad, Jerry.
Joey was the Lakers’ alternate governor and vice president of research and development, while Jesse was an assistant general manager.
The two indicated they were not happy with how their exits were handled.
“We are extremely honored to have been part of this organization for the last 20 seasons,” the brothers told ESPN in a statement. “Thank you to Laker Nation for embracing our family every step of the way. We wish things could be different with the way our time end
