Canadians continue to feel weary about higher food prices as a new survey revealed a majority have changed their shopping habits due to inflation.
The latest edition of the Food Sentiment Index , published Thursday by the Agri-Food Analytics Lab at Dalhousie University in partnership with marketing app Caddle, shows financial pressures are affecting many shoppers.
The bi-annual report, which surveys more than 3,000 people every six months about their purchasing behaviours, says affordability is the dominant concern among many while trust in major food retailers continues to decline due to persistent price hikes and lack of transparency.
