Senator Raphael Warnock addressed a Senate Committee this week, where he discussed the impacts of Republican legislation on health insurance costs for Georgians.
At the Senate Finance Committee hearing Wednesday, senators discussed recent health care cuts made by the Trump administration. One result is that Affordable Care Act health insurance premium tax credits will expire by the end of the year.
Senator Raphael Warnock warned of the impact that these changes will have on Georgians who rely on the government program. "In 43 days, millions of Americans, including 1.2 million Georgians will experience severe increases in their monthly health insurance premiums, doubling, tripling, even quadrupling," he said.
