COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Eleven witnesses testified Wednesday on Day 4 of the man accused of kidnapping and murdering Renee Eldridge in 2015. Of the 11 witnesses, Gray’s former girlfriend described a sexual encounter while investigators detailed the search for Renee Eldridge in July 2015.

Gray is charged with malice murder, felony murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault and rape in connection with the death of 25-year-old Nancy “Renee” Eldridge. Eldridge was reported missing from her Columbus home on July 4, 2015, and her remains were later found in Alabama.

The trial began Monday, Nov. 17th, after nearly a decade of delays. Previous testimony has included Eldridge’s mother and investigators who worked the initial missing person case.
