CLEVELAND, Ohio — In what might be the most candid midseason assessment from a defending Super Bowl champion, the Kansas City Chiefs are not mincing words about their .500 record.
The message from both head coach Andy Reid and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes is crystal clear: the issues plaguing this team are coming from within.
When asked about Travis Kelce’s comments that most of the team’s issues have been self-inflicted, Reid didn’t hesitate to agree.
“I told you I started with myself and that might happen. So yeah, I’d tell you yes,” Reid confirmed. “We’ve got good guys and they work hard, and so we’ll make sure we take care of it.”
