CLEVELAND, Ohio — In a league defined by fierce competition and tribal team loyalties, there exists a brotherhood that transcends the colors on a jersey.

On Wednesday, Rams quartberack Matthew Stafford opened up about his relationship with Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield, revealing the unspoken bond that connects NFL signal-callers.

“(Mayfield’s) a great human being. Played some golf with him in the off-season. Really enjoyed being around him. You can tell why his teammates love being around him. He’s just a great guy and obviously a heck of a football player,” Stafford shared.
