FORT COLLINS, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado man was sentenced to 10 years in prison and lifetime supervised release on Thursday for his role in an online forum that sexually exploited dozens of minors, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

According to the DOJ, court documents outlined that 69-year-old Steven Glenn Christiansen of Fort Collins used online messaging with end-to-end encryption to access “invite-only” group chats where photos and videos of child sexual abuse material were exchanged between users.

The DOJ said that the members would share livestreams and save files on third-party platforms of content that included minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct at the group chat members’ request.
