PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo Police Department announced on Thursday that a man has been sentenced to seven years in connection with a series of large-scale thefts and property damage incidents.
In 2024, PPD said officers began looking into the incidents that involved commercial HVAC units throughout the city.
Through tracking patterns of destruction that included stripped copper components and severely damaged rooftop units, police said a consistent pattern was revealed. PPD said they were ultimately able to connect one single suspect, 45-year-old Claude Sterner, to the wave of crimes that impacted numerous local businesses.
