EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Kaedynn Olds has been dancing and winning competitions for 12 years, collecting trophies and awards along the way.

But it was one competition she won last year that has her preparing for her biggest performance yet — the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“I am so excited. I’m counting down the days, I can’t wait. Everything about it is surreal,” Olds said.

A competition at the Augusta fairgrounds offered more than trophies or scholarships Thursday afternoon.

The teenage dancer said it has taken years of hard work to develop her skills, starting when she was 2 years old.

“I couldn’t stop moving, so my parents put me in dance, and I decided at five I wanted to continue doing it,” she said.
