BAXTER — The city of Baxter will seek an independent study review of the Highway 371 and Highway 210 overpass plan.
City Administrator Brad Chapulis said Council member Zach Tabatt last week inquired if a third-party review was possible for the overpass project. Chapulis said they contacted three firms about providing a review and one, KLJ, submitted a proposal.
“The review will be completed to ensure that study’s methodologies were property conducted and that the ultimate recommendation does align with the best interests of the community and those utilizing the roadway network,” KLJ stated in the proposal.
The fee was $16,370. A presentation before the city of Baxter would be Jan. 6, 2026.
