LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A known gang member was arrested on drug and assault charges after authorities said he pointed an assault rifle at bar patrons earlier this month.
51-year-old Ruben “Coco” Ibarra was taken into custody during a search warrant execution at a home in the 4000 block of Bear Claw Ln. at about 5:56 a.m. on November 20. The arrest stems from an incident at the Hideout Bar on November 10.
Laredo Police officers responded to a deadly conduct report at about 2:10 a.m. on November 10 at the Hideout Bar located on 210 W. Del Mar Blvd. Initial reports showed that a male was seen pointing an assault rifle at several customers at the bar.
The suspect was later identified as Ibarra, a known Hermandad de Pistoleros Latinos gang member with an extensive violent criminal record.
