WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A mobile food hub is distributing more than 40,000 pounds of potatoes and onions to underserved communities before Thanksgiving.
Common Ground Producers and Growers serves 37 locations across 10 Kansas cities and counties, helping those facing food insecurity.
“People are very appreciative of it, and with all the SNAP and food insecurity, we’re just blessed to be able to do this,” said Donna Pearson McClish, Founder and CEO of Common Ground Producers.
The hub grows its own food at its farm but also gets help from Kansas farmers to serve its thousands of customers.
