Lots of families enjoy the Thanksgiving tradition of some backyard football between eating turkey legs and napping in front of the TV. But not many of those informal games look like the one that could be organized by the most athletic family in the tiny Chilton County town of Maplesville.
Tommy Agee shared a backfield with Bo Jackson, Lionel James and Brent Fullwood at Auburn in the early 1980s then played in the NFL after graduating from Maplesville High School.
His nephew, Harold Marrow, graduated from Maplesville in 1991 and played football at Auburn before embarking on a 10-year NFL career. Marrow’s nephew, Nathaniel Watson, was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 for Mississippi State and now plays linebacker for the Cleveland Browns.
