SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — Two Summerville Police officials recently returned from a three-nation stop to help foster collaboration between U.S. and Eastern European law enforcement agencies.

Summerville Police Chief Doug Wright and Rich Robinson of Coastal Chaplaincy visited Poland, Moldova and Ukraine as part of their participation in the “Integrity Project,” an international law enforcement exchange program with a core aim of advancing police wellness.

While in Ukraine, Wright became the first U.S. police chief to speak at Odessa State University of Internal Affairs. He learned that policing in Ukraine differs considerably from law enforcement in the United States.
