House Majority Whip Tom Emmer has announced endorsements in two more Iowa Republican congressional primaries.

Emmer, a Minnesota Republican who serves as one of the top party leaders in the U.S. House, endorsed Siouxland Chamber of Commerce President Chris McGowan in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District and former state legislator Joe Mitchell in the 2nd District.

Both candidates are running in open primary fields for the congressional seats as the current GOP representatives are running for other offices. U.S. Rep.
