ST. PAUL, Minn. (GRAY) – Minnesota’s Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy (DFL-St. Paul) said this week that she believes the Senate may eventually hold a vote on gun control legislation when the legislature reconvenes in February.

“It’s not that I’m committing to it,” she said. “There’s just a lot, and when I think about Senator [Zaynab] Mohamed and Representative [Emma] Greenman and the Annunciation community, I don’t think we get through the session without taking a vote.”

Murphy spoke with members of the media following a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday. The occasion marked the first time that members of either the House or the Senate had convened in their respective chambers since June.
