UPDATE: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the victim of the fatal crash on Dayton Pike Wednesday was 73-year-old Paul Edward Dodd.

HCSO says they "extend [their] condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss."

PREVIOUS STORY: The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has issued a correction of information they shared following the deadly crash in Soddy Daisy yesterday.

The agency clarified it was not an SUV, but a sedan that hit the biker.

Also, HCSO says the biker was not airlifted, but instead transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where they died.
