AKRON, Ohio – Summit County Public Health, in partnership with Biobot Analytics, has started testing wastewater for fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and nicotine, the county announced Thursday.
Through the partnership, the county will use Biobot Analytics’ High Risk Substance Wastewater Platform to check wastewater for drugs. The county will use the data to tailor prevention, treatment and response strategies, according to the release.
