The Boston Red Sox, like every team, will be looking to build depth throughout their organization as part of their free agency plans. The Red Sox signed 25-year-old pitcher Osvaldo Berrios on Nov. 17, according to his transaction log.
While Berrios is not one of the superstars fans want the Red Sox to sign this winter, he can still be a solid addition. He spent last season pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals’ Double-A and Triple-A affiliates.
Berrios signed with the Athletics in 2017 and signed with the Cardinals in 2024. He did not have a great season overall, but was able to find some success in Double-A. In 28 Double-A games, he had a 3.74 ERA and 48 strikeouts.
He made four starts at the Double-A level, but was used exclusively out of the bullpen in Triple-A. He struggled in Trip
