Each year teams crisscross their way across the state in pursuit of a state football championship. With games over the upcoming final weekend slated for Kalispell, Frenchtown, Manhattan, Scobey and Grass Range, teams will load up the buses and each town will prepare for an influx of fans joining them.
Of this year's 10 state title game competitors, four have enjoyed the comforts of home throughout the playoffs without having to leave since at least the end of the regular season and proving the value of a top seed. Those include Kalispell Glacier, Frenchtown, Manhattan and Scobey.
Among their opponents, Billings West, Billings Central and Drummond-Philipsburg are all making their first playoff trips for the championship round this weekend.
