Delhi's air quality saw a slight improvement, but remained in the 'very poor' category at 373 on Friday morning as a thick blanket of smog enveloped the capital, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). This marks the seventh consecutive day that the city has faced air quality in this range.

Data from the CPCB-developed Sameer app showed the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 13 out of 39 air monitoring stations in the 'severe' category, with Wazirpur being the worst affected at 442.

According to CPCB standards, an AQI between 0-50 is 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'.

Only three air monitoring stations - IHBAS Dilshad Garden (255), Lodhi Road (286) and Mandir Marg (278) - recorded 'poor' air quality level
