A 13-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter after Cocoa police say he shot and killed a man on Nov. 16.
The suspect's name is not being released due to his age. The arrest report says the shooting happened Sunday night, before 10:30 p.m.
CPD responded to a call about a man who had been shot in the torso on Bristol Drive.
The victim, 30-year-old Kelby Miller, was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Detectives arrested the 13-year-old boy after a gunshot residue test found gunpowder on his hand. Detectives also found the clothes they say the suspect wore the night of the shooting.
