KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Love Kitchen is helping feed people experiencing homelessness and everyday families who cannot afford a Thanksgiving meal.
“If you show up here, you can make it here, we’ll feed you,” Martin Riggins, the Executive Director of The Love Kitchen, said.
The kitchen serves Knoxville by helping people eat fulfilling meals. People experiencing homelessness or who cannot afford to purchase groceries can eat at The Love Kitchen twice a week for in-person lunch meals.
People who qualify for home bound delivery service get their food delivered by volunteer drivers who help the kitchen.
For the Thanksgiving holiday, the kitchen is preparing full holiday meals. Riggins said that people will be able to eat turkey, ham and pumpkin pie, among other nutritious foods.
