Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday embarked on a three-day tour to South Africa to attend the first G20 summit to be hosted on the continent. His stop in Johannesburg will also include the sixth India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Leaders' Meeting, scheduled on the sidelines of the larger gathering.
Before departure, the Prime Minister said he would outline India's approach shaped by the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the broader framing of One Earth, One Family, One Future.
"I will present India's perspective at the Summit in line with our vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and One earth, One Family and One future," PM Modi said in an official statement before his departure.
