A MAN and woman have been arrested, accused of being armed with a knife in a late-night Tamworth home invasion.

The Leader can reveal Ernesteen Robyn Joyce Peterson, 34, and 23-year-old Brendan Duroux are in custody, bail refused in connection to the break-in in Woodward Avenue in July.

Tamworth detectives arrested the pair, who live in the same street, earlier this week, taking them into custody at Tamworth Police Station.

The pair are both accused of aggravated break-and-enter and stealing while being armed with an offensive weapon, namely a knife, of man in the unit.

The break-in allegedly occurred between 9.10 and 9.30pm on July 14.

Police have been investigating the break-in and claimed it was a serious offence involving the use of weapons.
