The Texas Tech football team added another big pledge to its 2027 recruiting class on Thursday, Nov. 20, when Humble Summer Creek wide receiver Benny Easter Jr. announced his commitment to the Red Raiders .
Easter has caught 75 passes for 994 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. He's a 6-foot-2, 193-pound junior on a Summer Creek team that's 10-1. He's also returned four kickoffs for a 39.5-yard average.
Summer Creek, the alma mater of former Texas Tech linebacker Dakota Allen , plays Manvel on Friday in a Class 6A Division II area-round playoff game.
