SEATTLE — Washington drivers will encounter significant lane reductions and closures on Interstate 405 and Interstate 5 this week and into the weekend, just as millions prepare to hit the roads for Thanksgiving travel.
In Bothell, northbound I-405 near state Route 527 will see overnight lane reductions from 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, to 4:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, as crews improve the corridor.

Workers will close the left express toll lane first, followed by the two left general-purpose lanes, before shifting closures to the right lanes. The northbound off-ramp to SR 527 will also close from 11:59 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., with a detour in place.
