(WAND) - For the third year in a row, Thanksgiving dinner prices in Illinois are going down.
The Illinois Farm Bureau said that turkey prices have dropped around 16%, just over a dollar per pound.
Other Thanksgiving staples like stuffing and pie crusts are also getting cheaper.
Tasha Bunting, the IFB's director of food systems, felt that the lower prices for the upcoming holiday are a nice change of pace.
"I think the biggest takeaway from all of this is it's great news, refreshing to see that the holiday dinner is becoming a little bit more affordable for consumers. And we're starting to see that trend in the right direction for a lot of our states and our regions," Bunting said.
