The aggressive arrest is documented in body-worn-camera footage that police in Webster released on Monday in response to accusations that officers used excessive force.

“During the arrest, you can see officers wrestling and punching the male, trying to take him into custody,” the town’s police chief, Michael Shaw, said in a statement accompanying the video. “I will admit, the video does not look pretty. However, anytime officers have to use force, it never does.”
