RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. — Police in Randolph County are investigating local funeral homes after receiving several reports that money intended for prepaid funeral arrangements were not being deposited into the appropriate fund.
In a Facebook post , the Randolph County Sheriff's Department said investigators received information that clients of Wilson-Shook funeral homes have noticed large amounts of money paid for the arrangements was not placed in the required Funeral Plan Trust accounts. The money is supposed to be held in a trust for future funeral services and, in most cases, were set up through MasterChoice.
