A major Derbyshire road will reopen on Friday, November 20 after a six-day emergency closure.
Derbyshire County Council closed the A6 between Matlock Bath and Cromford on Sunday, November 16, after two trees fell onto the road and a number of other trees were classed a risk to motorists.
Over 100 trees were removed as contractors worked "24 hours a day", with buses diverting and shuttles being introduced during the closure.
A spokesperson for the council confirmed contractors would "continue to work around the clock to get this vital safety work done and the road reopened as soon as possible".
