New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman knows he has to add to the infield this winter. While Ryan McMahon provided solid defense over at third base, he did not provide a strong enough bat for a team of the Yankees' caliber.
Now, the Bronx Bombers are back to the drawing board as they hope the answer can be found this offseason to fill the infield hole. They do have a few options in play as they could acquire a third baseman and keep Jazz Chisholm at second, or they could acquire a second baseman and slide Chisholm back over to third.
New York has plenty of options to choose from in free agency and on the trade market, and MLB insider Mark Feinsand is reporting the Yankees have shown interest in St. Louis Cardinals infielder Brendan Donovan .
