RAPID CITY — Two-time defending champion Chester and perennial powers Northwestern and Warner each posted first-round Class B wins in the South Dakota State High School Volleyball Tournament.

Here are highlights from the games played on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at The Monument.

Chester 3, Herreid-Selby Area 0

No. 1 seed Chester (31-1) kicked off its quest for a third-straight state title with a 25-12, 25-18 and 25-13 victory.

Jacy Wolf (10 kills, 13 assists and 13 digs) and Lily Van Hall (19 assists, 12 digs and three block assists) sparked the Flyers, who also got 11 kills from Emmerson Eppard and three block assists from Gracie Mersch.

The eighth-seeded Wolverines, who slipped to 26-7, were paced by Jordyn Rossow's 11 kills, Katie Allbee's 20 assists and Alyssa Kaup's 18 digs.
