SAN JOSE — Forward Philipp Kurashev scored on his shootout attempt, and goalie Yaroslav Askarov didn’t allow a goal at the other end as the Sharks earned a raucous 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday at SAP Center.
The Sharks are now 10-4-1 since Oct. 23.
With the Sharks leading and scrambling late in regulation time, Adrian Kempe picked up a rebound in front of the San Jose net after a Kevin Fiala shot on goal and scored his seventh of the season at the 19:01 mark to tie the game 3-3.
Kurashev’s go-ahead goal late in the second period gave the Sharks a 3-2 lead.
Setting up near the slot, Kurashev created some space for himself, took a pass from Will Smith, and beat Kings goalie Anton Forsberg five-hole for his sixth goal of the season.
