FINAL — Orem wins its first Utah football state championship since 2020 in dominant 42-7 win over Springville

Orem and Springville squared off Thursday night in Salt Lake City for the Utah UHSAA Class 5A state championship.

The Tigers claimed Utah's UHSAA Class 5A state championship Thursday night in dominating fashion, beating their region rivals, 42-7. The previous four meetings between the two teams had all been one-score games, including a 17-14 win by Orem back on September 5 in the regular season.

But this game was one-sided most of the way with Orem jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and stretching that to 21-0 by halftime.
