Jammu, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday administered the oath of office to two newly elected MLAs, PDP’s Aga Muntazir Mehdi from Budgam and BJP’s Devyani Rana from Nagrota.

The oath-taking followed their victories in the recently concluded bypolls for two vacant Assembly seats. Devyani Rana retained the Nagrota seat for the BJP by defeating JKNPP candidate Harsh Dev Singh. In Budgam, PDP candidate Aga Muntazir Mehdi secured the seat by defeating NC’s Agha Mehmood. —(KNO)
