A by-election to replace a Reform Derbyshire county councillor looks not to be held until next year due to the lack of appetite for a Christmas contest.

Cllr Richard Morgan, former Derbyshire County Council representative for the Horsley division for Reform in Amber Valley, resigned from his role in early November.

This followed 18 days after the resignation of a further former Reform colleague, and previous cabinet member for education and representative for the Long Eaton North division.
