NILES — A Niles man’s bond was set at $50,000 after a search and arrest warrant executed by Niles police led to the seizure of 27 grams of crack cocaine and 11 grams of heroin and fentanyl.
Michael Ray Crain, 51, of Peffer Avenue, was taken to the Trumbull County jail on multiple felony counts of trafficking in drugs. He pleaded not guilty to the charges when appearing in Niles Municipal Court Thursday morning before Judge Christopher Shaker. Crain will be due back in court the morning of November 28.
Police forced entry into a home on Peffer Avenue following an investigation influenced by community complaints where the Niles street team say they purchased narcotics from the home. Police say this was the second time in three months that a raid had been conducted on the home.
