The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a show-cause notice to a private school in Jaipur after a nine-year-old student allegedly died by suicide at its premises earlier this month.

After the incident on November 1, the show-cause notice stated that CBSE had constituted a two-member inspection committee, and the committee had indicated “gross violations of the Affiliation Bye Laws-2018 of the Board and safety norms for children”.
