The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that a cyclonic circulation has developed over the central parts of the Malacca Strait.

This circulation will likely trigger the formation of a low-pressure area on Saturday.

To begin with, IMD forecasts indicate that the low-pressure system will form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22. It will then move west-northwest and intensify into a depression by November 24.
