Bank of America recently announced a $250 million commitment over the next five years to support families and individuals nationwide who are battling food insecurity. The company has long offered support in this area; it currently provides annual philanthropic donations to more than 1,200 organizations that focus on combatting hunger and other related needs.

The statistics are alarming: 47 million Americans face daily challenges with hunger, including one in five children. Here in the Inland Empire, food insecurity affects more than 11% of residents. The increase in demand for food banks today in the Inland Empire communities is at an all-time high.
