King Charles ’s beloved royal residence in Scotland had to make changes to its scheduled opening times due to the extreme weather. Balmoral Castle, the late Queen Elizabeth’s favourite home and the place where she spent her last moments before her death, was forced to close on Thursday and will have a delayed schedule today due to snowy weather.

A message on the residence’s official Instagram account read: “Due to the continuing wintry weather conditions, Balmoral will be closed to the public for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow’s opening (Friday, 21st November) will be delayed until 11:00am.

“If you have purchased a ticket for tomorrow’s Evening at Balmoral, please be assured that the experience is expected to go ahead as planned. Take care and stay safe.”
