Two major fires have broken out in Ashby this morning (Friday, November 21). Thick black smoke can be spotted miles from the scene.

Full details on the fires is yet to be established, but it has been confirmed that emergency services are responding to two separate blazes in the North West Leicestershire town. A road closure is currently in place in the Smisby Road area of Ashby.

Both Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Leicestershire Police are responding to the incidents. LeicestershireLive has contacted both the fire service and the police for more information about the fires and will provide you with the details as soon as we get them.
